Extracellular Vesicles: What are They?

Extracellular Vesicles are not cells, but Micro-Vesicles, which are about 1/1,000th the size of a Cell and contain No Nucleus or DNA. Extracellular Vesicles are directly involved in direct cellular signaling & communication. This is a revolutionary new, emerging frontier in regenerative medicine. The stem cell Extracellular Vesicles are isolated from donated human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and purified using proprietary processing.

The unique benefit to these Extracellular Vesicles is that they are stem cell-derived and bring a wide array of growth factors to stimulate and modulate many of the body’s internal processes.

Extracellular Vesicles can be regarded as the purest form of cellular therapy available because they are designed to coordinate tissue and wound healing – activating the patient’s own regenerative cell response.

What is the Source of the Extracellular Vesicles?

The Extracellular Vesicles are procured and processed in the United States – following standards and regulations established by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

The Extracellular Vesicles come from donated umbilical cords and placental tissue from 18 – 25-year-old cesarian section donors that are processed in an FDA Registered Laboratory Facility.

Is Extracellular Vesicle Therapy Covered by Insurance?

Nationally, insurance networks have chosen not to cover regenerative medical procedures at this time.

How We Ensure Safety at Kumar Aesthetics Institute

The components of our mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) materials are minimally manipulated from non-expanded, non-cultured non-nucleated cells. This includes Extracellular Vesicles from MSC’s, cytokines, chemokine, growth factors, and hyaluronic acid (HA). Injected stem cells and growth factors seek out inflammation and like a magnet, are attracted to your area of pain, so to stimulate the best possible cellular reaction, and ultimate, best-case outcome.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

On average, patients will see the effects and potential relief within 4-8 weeks of the initial treatment. Many patients with pain, inflammation, degenerative diseases, or strains experience significant improvement after a single treatment.

Advantages of Extracellular Vesicle Therapy

  • Size: They are nanoscopic particles that enable them to have greater diffusion capacity and can cross the blood-brain barrier and stratum corneum as well.
  • No risk of malignant transformation.
  • No procedure is required such as harvesting.
  • No risk for Graft versus host disease. They will not attack your own body’s cells.
  • No first-pass pulmonary accumulation.
  • They can be stored easily and have a long shelf life compared to the other products.
